An Insect View

Henry David Thoreau wrote: “Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her smallest leaf, and take an insect view of its plain.”

Plum and cherry blossoms are icons of spring for me. When they explode on the barren branches, I know that winter has left for sure and warmer months are around the corner. Never before have I looked as closely at plum blossoms as I did this last photo shoot. Eye level with the smallest buds, truly “an insect view,” these wonderful images were waiting for me to discover them.
